Bolivar High School is proud to recognize 2025 graduate Jadyn Brown for successfully completing a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship as a Floral Designer Assistant through the district’s BoMo Works program.

Brown began her apprenticeship with The Flower Patch during her junior year of high school. Over the course of two years, she completed more than 2,000 hours of structured on-the-job training, gaining hands-on experience in floral design, customer service, and small-business operations.

BoMo Works, Bolivar Schools’ work-based learning and apprenticeship initiative, is designed to connect students with real-world career opportunities while they are still in high school. Through partnerships with local businesses, students can explore career pathways, earn industry-recognized credentials, and build valuable workforce skills before graduation.

“Jadyn is the kind of student every employer hopes for,” said Ashley Clift, Director of Career Education Pathways. “She is driven, teachable, hardworking, creative, and an excellent team player. Watching her grow her skills and confidence through this experience has been incredible.”

Brown credits her high school experience and the support system around her for helping her take this next step.

“High school helped prepare me for my future career by providing all the support and resources I needed to transition into college,” Brown said. “This includes great teachers, counselors, dual credit classes, and the opportunity to work through the BoMo Works apprenticeship program at The Flower Patch. I enjoy getting to work with the best people while doing what I love, using my creativity to its highest potential, creating floral designs.”

Brown is currently pursuing an associate degree in graphic design at Ozarks Technical Community College. She remains employed at The Flower Patch, continuing to build her career in a creative field she is passionate about.

The Flower Patch has been a dedicated partner of the BoMo Works program since its inception. Their commitment to mentoring students and providing meaningful work-based learning opportunities has played a vital role in the program’s success.

As BoMo Works continues to expand, stories like Jadyn Brown’s highlight the impact of connecting education with real-world experience, preparing students not just for graduation, but for lifelong success.
