Bolivar High School

Learning for Life

Welcome to Bolivar High School, Home of the Liberators!

Bolivar High School has a long, proud tradition of excellence in education. With over 800 students in grades 9-12, the school boasts rigourous college prep studies along with outstanding career education programs. A key aim for BHS is to motivate and prepare all students to pursue additional educational opportunities after graduation--at either a 2-year or 4-year college or university. We believe education is more important than ever for productive participation in our community and world.

Our faculty and staff are committed to helping students succeed in school and in life. Teachers at BHS are highly qualified and are focused on learning for both themselves and their students. Moreover, teachers provide a personal and caring environment as students develop into well-rounded individuals.

Recently, BHS was nominated as 1 of 8 schools in the state of Missouri for the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Schools award. The honor was based on the high achievement of our students as demonstrated on Missouri's rigorous End-of-Course (EOC) standardized tests. This honor is validation of the commitment to academic excellence of our entire community.

We feel very fortunate to have such wonderful students and teachers at BHS. In addition, we have a very supportive board of education and district office that allows us to provide our students with the best educational experience in the state of Missouri.

Yours in education,
